Condenser-like Performance with Dynamic Convenience
The M80 combines the durability and ease of use of a dynamic microphone with an extended high-frequency response and detailed sound often associated with condenser designs. Its supercardioid polar pattern provides strong feedback rejection, while high SPL handling and low handling noise make it equally useful on stage and in the studio. It is especially well suited to lead vocals, snare drum and brass instruments.
Sonic Character
A low-mass moving-coil capsule gives the M80 a fast, articulate response with reduced proximity effect. Vocals retain low-frequency clarity while still sounding full and authoritative, with an open top end that helps the source stay present in a dense mix.
Circuit Design
The M80 uses TELEFUNKEN's custom-wound T80 impedance-matching transformer together with its proprietary capsule assembly. This combination delivers consistent output, clear detail and reliable performance across demanding live and studio applications.
Construction
This version combines the M80's rugged, touring-ready construction with a White finish. The microphone is designed and hand assembled in the USA.
