The Miktek CV3 is a large-diaphragm, tube-powered condenser microphone with 9 selectable polar patterns. It delivers a rich and full-bodied sound, designed to provide musical results that will delight both artists and producers. With a warm yet tight low end, a perfectly balanced midrange, and an airy, natural high-frequency response, the CV3 sets the standard in its class. This microphone shines as a vocal mic but is equally well-suited for acoustic instruments, vocal groups, strings, woodwinds, drum overheads, or ambient room miking.
At the heart of the CV3 is Miktek’s proprietary MK9 capsule, featuring dual 1-inch diaphragms crafted from 5-micron Mylar with a 0.4-micron gold layer. The membrane is meticulously tensioned and mounted with extreme precision, ensuring incredible accuracy in sound reproduction.
The CV3’s head amplifier features high-end discrete components, and its output stage is powered by a custom AMI transformer, delivering classic tonal quality with an extended low-frequency response, rivaling the most legendary vintage tube microphones. The microphone also incorporates a hand-selected subminiature tube, with a uniquely implemented high-voltage circuit that allows the CV3 to confidently stand alongside the best microphones in the industry. Each CV3 is hand-assembled, tested, and packaged in Nashville, Tennessee, and comes with an individual frequency response graph, measured during final testing.
